First 3-5 Days
After Injury

  • Take it easy, and stay calm
  • Do not try everything and anything
  • Allow the initial inflammation and injury to subside, then you can decide the best course of action
  • Eat anti-inflammatory foods like green leafy vegetables, omega-3 oils and lots of liquid
  • Avoid processed foods, cooked or denatured fats, grain and dairy (can cause inflammation)
  • Rest, ice and elevation can be very helpful
  • Consider non-medicinal, topical creams such as natural oils or Rub On Relief (my personal preference)

Important Note
There are many safe and natural ways to treat joint pain including yoga, inversion therapy, cleansing diets, chiropractic care, strength and stretch training—and literally dozens of other great options. Initially, right after you’ve injured yourself, it’s best to give yourself an initial period to heal so you can better assess the situation and make a decision that is best for you.
