A: Most people take 2 caps, 2x daily. Larger people or extremely active people take 4-5 capsules (total) daily.

Q: Do I just take the pills… that’s it?
A: No, you’ve got to stretch. If you don’t stretch, you might notice some health benefits,
but you don’t notice any flexibility gains.

Q: How long does it take to see results with Stretch?
A: Some students notice effects right away, but as a general rule,
after 1-2 weeks people usually can usually noticed the benefits,
provided of course you are doing your stretches.

Q: Will it keep me up at night?
A: For some people, yes, for this reason you should not take after 5 p.m.
and if you notice disturbed sleep, do not take after 3 p.m.

Q: Is it safe?

Lightning Bolt

Q: In Lightning Bolt, should my feet point to the side or to the back?

A: Feet point straight back.

Stretching

Q: What is your opinion on using blocks or props for the stretches?
A: Blocks and straps can be very useful, particularly when you’re first starting out.
Use them if you like them, they can be great tools.

Q: Is there an optimal amount of time for each stretch, or should you just keep increasing as you improve?
A: For many poses, you’re working up to a 5 minute hold.
There’s something about the 5 minute mark that is a big milestone in most poses,
but for other poses, like Pins ‘n Needles, 2-3 minutes is enough.

Q: I have been weight training – can I still do Gravity Yoga?
A: Weight training is great for you if done intelligently (for integrated strength, not for cosmetic reasons),
so if you like lifting—don’t stop!
Do understand though that resistance training is the yang to yoga’s yin, so you have to stretch.
You must, must, must do it. Dedicate 25% of your total workout time to stretching or you’ll get stiffer and stiffer forever.

Q: Can I stretch more than one muscle group per day?
A: Yes, some people do the entire series in one day.

Q: Do I need to break in between stretches?
A: No, not necessarily. If you need a break (mentally more than anything), then take one.
But if you’re good to go, keep going!

Q: Do I need to have rest days?
A: Rest days are essential for building muscle… but for lengthening muscle, it’s a different story.
There will be days when you are really sore, take a break, but otherwise, continuous stretching is quite beneficial.

Q: If I have a “trouble area” can I just do those stretches?
A: Yes, if your hamstrings are your big trouble area, you can just do those stretches every day.
That will give you faster results there.
Just be careful not to create another imbalance in your body by focusing only in one area.

The Hangman

Q: I struggle to breathe during Hangman. Is this normal?
A: Yeah, hangman is a killer… take it slowly and make sure you can breath, but if you can’t breathe deeply that’s ok.

Q: During Hangman I can’t my head get right up against the wall. Is this okay?
A: (1) lie on your belly, nose on the floor, top of head flush with the wall
(2) reach arms up the wall
(3) head will hang between your arms. Now this is the ideal, in reality,
it might not be so pretty.
Do you best, and think about using a pillow under your chest the first few weeks.

Q: During Hangman, should my body/chest be on the floor or raised up?
A: Your upper body will be floating, your head will drop between your arms.

Q: During Hangman I find it impossible to have my arms straight while my head is on the floor.
A: Don’t try to do anything specific with your head.
Let it hang. If it touches the wall or the floor, that’s ok, eventually it’ll just hang there in the air.
Gently work your arms straight, but don’t force them.

Q: Hangman is extremely painful – is this normal?
A: Yes, it’s normal. Work up to 5 minutes in that one, it’ll be a life changer for you.

The Noodle

Q: For the Noodle, can I use a Gym ball instead of a chair?
A: Gym balls are OK, but they are often too small and not inflated enough.
If you use one, use the huge ones and inflate it way up.

Q: For the Noodle, which part of your back should be at the edge of the chair?
A: Everyone’s back is a different in that some have really long torsos others really short
so you have to find a place that feels right for you.
That said, if you position your bum just over the one edge of the chair
(so the top of you pelvis is on the edge) and then extend, that’s usually pretty good placement.
As long as your chair is well padded (feel free to use pillows liberally),
you’ll find the right spot for yourself quickly.

Q: In Noodle, does the width of the chair matter?
A: Not really, just get an average chair with a nice sized seat.

The Ragdoll

Q: In The Ragdoll, I don’t seem able to bend from the hips. Any advice?
A: Don’t worry about the details much,
just bend your knees to keep your lower back safe and flow over… let gravity do the work!
