I quit drinking coffe duirng the 21 day Daniel Fast every January. But when the fast is over I go back to drinking coffee only at work. I sit at a desk and type most of the day and coffee is a comfort to me. I drink the natural decaf chemical free that Caribou sells. I don't drink it to stay awake, but rather to keep from overeating at my desk. I've tried Ginger tea which works at home, but not at work!

I quit coffee many years ago. A few years later, I'd scheduled a business meeting, and hadn't slept well the night before. I had no coffee in the house, of course, so I went to a local place where the coffee smelled great (I went there for tea on occasion). I had a cup, and my energy level PLUMMETED. I felt terrible. I had to lymphasize to get the poison out! No coffee since, and I do supplement B12 because I'm vegan.

@Kim - no need to soak. Just toss them in raw. If your blender is very weak, soaking can help. - LR
